Simple Shift

Oh, the life of a fashion blogger posing for pictures on the windy downtown streets! A muted palette seems to be the trend as the NC wintery mix continues. I can only seem to muster the energy for a dress and boots. Today, it's back to black and white. Sigh!

Falling for Booties

What I'm currently finding irresistible for fall? The bootie! I'm loving the dress and bootie  winning combo for early fall's temps. Dress them up or down by pairing with a vibrantly colored dress or with your favorite jeans for weekend. I also look forward to making a statement in them with wax denim to give my fall style a little edge.

Color block

Color blocking is easy to assimilate into your wardrobe. Today I chose primary colors and added a favorite Moon & Lola piece. Color blocking is smart styling; simple to throw together, yet eye catching! Though I agree you could put a bold shoe with the outfit, I played it safe with a nude wedge and bag.

Soft Hues

Spring brings a softer color palette that makes me want to kick up my heels. I find the combination of ruffles and the sheerness of  tulle on the back absolutely scrumptious! The colored denim is almost a sorbet color (who doesn't love sorbet?) and the cream top can easily transition from a working lunch to happy hour!

Beyond the Pencil Skirt

I'm counting down the days until Christmas by window shopping downtown and enjoying the festive displays! I like the slightly different take on the classic pencil skirt dress with the use of muted color pallets and the daring cut-out back. A black shoe goes a long way during the winter months, but I'm enjoying the cranberry colored wedge as opposed to my trusty black pump.
