The Basics

As visions of pastels, strappy sandals and graphic shorts dance through my head, I'm forced to bundle up to combat the morning chill. Back to the basics of black and white, I combine my black skinny pant, white silk blouse, houndstooth vest and finished it off with my chunky Burberry scarf for a hint of color.

THE Black Pant

For all you ladies searching for the perfect black work pant...I have hit gold! (and they aren't expensive, link below) These are my favorite pair of black pants and I love the fit! I snagged this top at a J.Crew warehouse sale this weekend in Asheville. I'm always looking for a little sparkle, so the metallic thread woven into the top does it for me!
