Pirate Flag and an Island Girl

It took a little vitamin D to get me into a spring like mood. After some time off from blogging, I'm back with no tights or heavy overcoats. Actually, I'm embracing the opposite. A getaway to paradise put me on island time and what better way to celebrate sun and sand than in a light-weight cover-up and sandals...oh, and a margarita doesn't hurt!

A Summer Sweater

NC weather has been somewhat of a conundrum this season, so I found myself breaking out a light-weight sweater in August. The watermelon color still leaves a glimpse of summer, but paired with distressed denim is the ultimate in cozy chic. I kept it neutral with nude sandals.

Beach Retreat

Spending the 4th of July seaside was pure bliss! Sun-filled days call for a fun-filled cover up. The DVF for Roxy line is the best of both worlds; high fashion and beach chic. The cover-up is light weight and relaxed and even has pockets! (dreamy right?) I tried to keep it stylish while protecting my face from the sun with a large straw hat.

Color Block

I like to experiment with the use of color. Just because the temperature drops, I try not to limit my repertoire   to just black or gray. Belting is another current craze that I find almost full proof with many outfits!
